On Monday my kids (11.9 and 14) are going to get their first phones. We've been an Apple Device Family for 14 years; their phones are Android.

Personally I am of the opinion that it would be both Cool AND Good for everyone involved if I was hired somewhere as an in-house composer.

I have never embodied this sentiment more than today omfg...I misunderstood my boss and it wasn't one relatively easy 6 hour session it was a whole day of different sessions and they mostly involved sadism and CNC lol my throat is so raw from screaming my body is so weak from fighting #swtalk

Unlike Bram Stoker's Dracula, it never quite finds a way to translate its gorgeous sets and costumes into actual atmosphere. But if Frankenstein does anything correct, it's an accurate retelling of the wild angst of the novel, which is a fever dream of emotion.

There is no emotional sting that isn't accompanied by Patrick Doyle's score going into overdrive. Kenneth Branagh directs as if he's trying to chase after the material, and his acting definitely reflects a guy in the middle of a run of Shakespeare adaptations. De Niro does...his best.

I always liked the 1994 Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. It's certainly bombastic and most of its imperfections lie in its inability to do anything subtly. But there's something charming about its theatrical sense of melodrama - it plays for the cheap seats in both performance and aesthetic.

Do I wish it was better? Yes. But for the most part, I enjoy it in the context of that 90s classic sci-fi/horror adaptation renaissance with it, Dracula, the truly bonkers Island of Dr. Moreau and others.

Some times you have to question if the people running studios and publishers want to make games at all cos they are doing there darnedest to holt production or feels like it yet the profits flow like wine right to them cos clearly not going to devs with so many out of work or underplayed.

Just saw the footage of the crazed fan jumping on Ariana Grande at the Wicked event. Of course Erivo sprung into action to protect Grande before anybody (including the security guards) and Jeff Goldblum disappeared like Doctor Strange. 😂
