I used to have a yo in my name but I got here early enough to just be Randi on main. San Jose Sharks forever / regrettably lived in NYC long enough to become a Rangers fan

The last Beatles album of the list is Abbey Road from 1969. It’s #5.

Another all time fave is #6. It’s Nevermind by Nirvana from 1991.

My teenage years were spent in deep Nirvana fandom and I mourned Kurt so much. I love all things 90s Seattle and adjacent. Such a great album.

I’m not sure if it’s better than many others that have come earlier.

Another fun fact for the day, this next band features an artist I love so much her face is tattooed on my body.

The album so nice, I bought it twic….nope, 5 times over the course of time.

It’s Prince with Purple Rain from 1984 and it’s #8. I adore Prince and I’ve listened to this album so many times I broke the cassette.

Absolutely thrilled that an album I love this much is this high up.

#9 is up next and it’s Blood on the Tracks by Bob Dylan from 1975.

Before I started this list, there’s not a chance I would pay to see a movie about Bob Dylan. Today I went to see A Complete Unknown. Oh the times, they are a changing.

#12 is by an artist that I was absolutely obsessed with as a kid. So much so, I received a Barbie sized doll of him for Christmas when I was 3 or 4 and the look of excitement on my face is wild. It looks like I just won the mega millions lottery.

Thriller, Michael Jackson, 1982.

YO. It’s the TOP 20 of the Rolling Stone Top 500 albums of all time!

It’s HERE! And I’m so excited. I am also excited because I adore album #20. It’s Kid A by Radiohead from 2000. And because I’m an insufferable Brooklyn hipster, you can all say “of course you do”.

For tomorrow, #21 is Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run from 1975.

Not surprised to see more Bruce on this list. I think it’s likely the last one.

On Saturday, I was on the subway heading up to Sugar Hill to have a spooky movie day with my girls. I noticed the cutest labradoodle puppy. His owner told me that I was heading up to the area where Branson has his juice shop

Lo and behold, #22 is Ready to Die by Notorious B.I.G. from 1994.

This is the last album that I accidentally saw in a rogue loading incident where I saw 23 - 25 at the same time so I’m back to surprises once again post this listen.

#23 is The Velvet Underground & Nico’s eponymous with the Andy Warhol banana. It’s from 1967.
October 14, 2024 at 1:25 PM
Up next is more Beatles. #24 is Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band from 1967

I don’t think this is the last Beatles album we see. I’m expecting Abbey Road in the top 20 but we shall see (I haven’t peaked so don’t spoil it)
