In Top Gear 3000, there are two ways to lose the main championship:

1. Failing to finish 10th and above to qualify for the next race. (Screenshot by me)
2. Failing to place 5th and above to qualify for the next system. (Credit to a video, I...can't find again.)

Top Gear 3000 - Game Over #1: If you didn't finish 10th or above during a race, the words "Race Over!" will appear for a few seconds, followed by a screen featuring your vehicle, followed the words below your name, saying "Did Not Finish", "Failed To Qualify", and "No Prize", where the game will end before returning to the title screen. From the Sega Genesis version of Mutant Chronicles: Doom Troopers, entering the password with HATAMOTO in the options screen will display the solar system after the character select screen. The Earth's moon is highlighted by a green circle. And alongside the very distant planet, yes, the dwarf planet known as Pluto and its own moon, is in this. The password, however, would revert back into its regular empty state once you exit this screen and return to the title screen.
