I vaguely referenced the skulls from my scientific dragon skeleton illustration from a few years back but didn't worry too much about the accuracy cause art fight is mostly about having fun :)

- they're not even crabs. they're in the phylum of arthropods which makes them more closely related to spiders

- when they swim, they do it upside down

- they have NINE EYES!!!!! and two of those are on the underside!!

- their larvae are called 'trilobite larvae' and are adorable

I finished this painting this week (great timing) which I painted partially to raise awareness for them, as I think not enough people know about these weird little creatures (definitely not biased, it's not like they're one of my favourite animals or anything)
