This is full of mildly astonishing revelations about right-wing influence at the BBC, but foremost among them is the fact that he was advised that writing for the New Statesman was effectively unacceptable but doing so for the Spectator was fine - indeed, advisable. I am flabbergasted.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

Having just come back from Spain, my main takeaway is not just "Europe punishing us" (bullshit, we're a third country now) but how coming back into the UK is so awful. Just as long if not longer queues here than in Europe. We've not "won" a single thing. Brexit has given us NOTHING.

Indeed, as I have to periodically remind Brit friends visiting their holiday homes here when they whine about how Europe is 'punishing' Brits out of spite. 🙄
