It always weirds me out when Starfleet personnel eat unfamiliar food on alien planets. How do they know it's safe for humans/Vulcans/whoever? We never see them so much as scanning the food with a tricorder first. They just dig in.

With a home move on the horizon, I have... this furry... issue. After #TNR, I've continued to feed #CasperCat outside for three years, but he's never become friendly. On advice from the Japan Cat Network, I'm going to try him for a short stint inside to see if he is game to become a pet moggy.

The ortho techs didn't want to wreck my jacket and kept asking *are you sure* when I asked them to cut open the sleeve for me. I had to insist, it's fine, the thing is at least 20 years old, it's winter and I need to be able to wear it, and I'll replace it next fall.
