I don’t check Facebook often (few times a week), but whenever I do, it reliably suggests AI slop short videos for me to watch, frequently mocking overweight people. How is this good for society? The things big tech does for ad revenue and impressions is gross.

I saw an ad on Facebook today for a 5 week college course on promoting. Really? It seems fairly easy to develop this skill independently.

I feel bad for my dog Robbie. He’s dealing with “old dog vestibular disease”. He’s a trooper and doing the best he can, but has some serious vertigo.

I got my hands on a used copy of Build by Tony Fadell on Amazon for just $5! I’ve heard amazing things about it, so I can’t wait to dive into this book. It took a few weeks for the used book to make its way here.

The “Age of AI” has not been kind to Getty Images stock. Its stock peaked at $33.93 and is now less than $2.40. Its market cap has declined by ~78%. These are early signs of how disruptive AI will be. Look at the decline of firms like StackOverflow, LivePerson, or Quora as other examples.

It crazy to me how job applications ask about your sexual orientation and other personal questions. That’s really none of a potential employer’s business in my opinion.

My prescription benefit provider is changing to CapitalRx (CapRx). Has anyone had a good experience? Looks like they’re associated with Optum (United Healthcare) in some way at least for delivery
