that one all the time- it still blows their minds haha. But yeah! If anyone needs a point in the right direction, if you're also learning, dont stop, ok? It's all a video game anyways, and I get it- no one likes the grind (me especially augh) but it's something you gotta do if you wanna level up! <3

But man are kids so lucky- and anyone learning really! To have so many tutorials and videos at their fingertips. I remember having to use a window to 'canvas flip' my art and check that it was okay(I didnt have a light box it wasnt a thing easily accessible by an 11 year old then).I tell my students

I use design doll, as CSP (clip studio paint) also has 3d stuff to use, but im only just now learning its def a lot easier to help with the comic process.I hope to use a lot more of these techniques in the future, brushes and effects are a godsend- my childhood weeps for not having these things then

came before me. I wanna say also, I'm okay with anyone using my layouts and camera angles to get the ideas down that you have. ^_^ I support any other learning artists 100%- it doesnt bother me. I also endorse using 3D dolls (now that thats a thing, augh I always wished for it in college circa 2010)

Oh yeah, I started this to reminisce on my past decisions-I'd say it may be more controversial to do what I did now, but while I was doing it my thought process was only on learning. I appreciate being able to try and translate my own simple story with the help of these creatives and visuals that-

But yeah! For webtoon artists I have a list as well, now they're more studio types or artists with a bit of a larger group, I assume because its full color and a bit harder to accomplish weekly. (It def is impossible for me as a solo creator with a job lol) But, I can give a list to read-

of course, but those are a few. Some of the greats I love for Manga artists and writers are probably more well known- Masakaza Katsura, Sora Inoue, Yoshihiro Togashi, Nobuhiro Watsuki, Akira Toriyama, Yu Watase, Naoko Takeuchi, please ill stop because if not then I wont XD

difference. Maybe its just me, but the influence of how manga flows and how the story is told, is just so prevalent in artists like Gurihiru, Mirka Andolfo, and my all time fave, Stjepan Šejić. I love a lot of the choices they made in layout, color and writing technique. Theres a much longer list-

authors (I saw new but like recent not necessarily in age.) have taken it upon themselves to learn to tell stories through their own script as well as their art. Its been pretty awesome seeing comic artists i've always loved, write their own stuff and bring it to fruition. I can see the obvious-

I still love the manga style more- and am learning to have an appreciation for some western flows, but for me theres a very big difference between the two as far as story and art. It's still easier for me to follow along in manga and webtoon than it ever was for western comics. Thankfully, many new

knowing how to do something and actually doing it are very different animals. Now that I'm working in the webtoon format- its different for sure but,I'm able to use what I learned from the first several issues of 'Just A Game'.What angles I like, the 180 method (which I still mess up all the time lol)
