a trip to the wonderful English coast (albeit rather fresh and breezy) for the last few days blew away the cobwebs. i think i managed to keep up with the #NewWaveNovember and #90sTop30 - although it did feel a bit like doing homework! now i’m home i can catch up with liking the posts of others…

this outstanding picture is of my great grandfather Harold, taken in 1918. he was 20 years old. i am so full of love and admiration, especially given he is playing music in the face of a very scary and uncertain future. in memory of Harold and all who sacrificed so much #RemembranceDay

found today, presumed missing forever (wishful thinking). 7” single released 1995 featuring a song written by myself and performed appallingly by my sometime ex-band. apparently this release was mentioned on John Peel a couple of times but never played. i’ll start the bidding at £0.03p!!

the decorating in my house has played havoc with the space in my recording studio, but tonight i’m finally able to move some bits back to the rooms where they normally live. carpet is becoming visible once more, although 2 guitars (not pictured) remain inaccessible. normal service will soon resume!

tonight i am going to a nightclub for the first time in decades for an evening of alcohol and loud “alternative 80s” music. what once would have sounded so unbelievably naff to me, has now got me both intrigued and more than a little excited. hopefully the attendance will be more than yours truly

reminds me a little of the orange i put in the frame of my Vertigo poster, which is on the top floor of my town house. i also have a 1925 map of the London Underground on the stairs leading down to my basement (well i thought it was clever, anyway)

just realised i picked OMD today while wearing my Enola Gay t-shirt. a pure coincidence. i decided on the song last night, clothing was top of the pile in the drawer this morning. selfie is for evidence, not vanity. you might be able to tell it is not something i do often!
