It was peak Warcraft, and I still adore the Orc and Human designs used for being exactly how Warcraft should be - detailed and sincere with just a touch of caricature.

Absolutely. You need humour/lighthearted stuff AND serious tones, for juxtaposition.

I always got annoyed by Nathanos, because he was just the mirror image of a glazer - ooh lookit me, I'm the Queen's super special, and mechanocs dictate I'm a Raid Boss level, so Im just going to be an insufferable jerk with no player-relevant redeeming qualities.
