Our host Michael has shared this lovely photo from his guest’s graduation.

Because his guest’s parents weren’t able to attend, he invited Michael and his partner to come along instead.

Now, with a master’s degree in computer networking, he’s looking for a job to put his skills into action ❤️

With seven potential guests in Sheffield urgently needing a place to stay, we’re sharing the message Huw, one of our local hosts, sent to his network this week to help them avoid the streets.

Please help us spread the word and if you're able to host, message us or email [email protected].

A graphic of a handwritten letter that says 'Friends, There's a crisis right now in Sheffield. Seven people for whom places can't be found. They might end up sleeping rough. They'll be truly vulnerable. Refugees at Home helps find refugees who are falling through gaps in the system and place them in houses with folks who have a spare room. They also truly understand grizzled old buggers who want to say things like "I don't like doing chatty in the morning" (I can vouch for this). Hosting enables you to do the right thing, with support to do it, and is one of the most rewarding things you can end up doing. Huw', host.'

Although friends were concerned about her hosting as a single woman, she's found her guests a joy to share her home with.
