I don't think price difference really plays a factor at all tbh. The Nex Playground has a very different target audience that should be more niche than the Xboxes but the Xboxes just didn't sell well at all.

I mean, it kinda still is. Micro consoles like this have not historically sold well even if they are cheaper. And the price difference didn't make it outsell the PS5 or the Switch 2.

Side note: "Series" is a terrible name for a console. WTF was Microsoft thinking? I can't believe they picked a dumber name than both naming their 3rd console "One" and naming their second console 360. Only the original Xbox has a decent name.

And moving them to another role entirely (like driving the bus) is VERY hard to do.

I live along the red line but if they did exactly this, it would benefit me by getting more operators on the red line.

Workers in unions like this often like their exact post though and are hesitant to move. Merely promising their job won’t be cut is often not enough.

Any automation of the L would be a rolling upgrade anyway and it would improve frequencies on the other lines without cutting the jobs.

I feel like that would be a fair starting point that could be beneficial for everyone.

I’ve thought for a bit that if we were really serious about automating the Blue line (probably the easiest line to automate) then to get it through there should be a deal with the union for no job cuts.

So if we automated the Blue line, the operators on it could be sent to other lines

I’d also add that if the polling is currently accurate, the highest polling candidate at this other than them is at 1/3 to 1/6 of the support as them (depending on the poll and whether it is Biss or Kat).

Candidates do seem to ignore other candidates in the race if they don’t see them as a threat.

Yeah but also 19 likes isn’t a whole lot with 11,000 followers. I have like 1/9th the following and get more than that fairly often.

And the vast majority of her staff when I was looking into it were under the age of 25. I understand trying to give young people a chance too but you probably need a few people with actual experience in this

A LOT of her campaign staff seem to be very unqualified honestly. Probably why I kept hearing rumors about her campaign being incredibly disorganized.

She is neck and neck with Biss fundraising wise and she is spending a lot more so Biss might actually have more money on hand

I think they have been getting better in recent years but I still mostly agree

The show can be mildly entertaining but it does have clear social and political commentary that comes out of some incredibly stupid beliefs.

I’d rather we just improve transit but I just suspect this will eat at the share of people that take Uber/Lyft or maybe just drive themselves. In that case autonomous vehicles are much preferable.
