Also the effect is gone by s2 and he’s just an ordinary handsome man.

Reading Sherlock Holmes stories and everyone is always writing monographs. Victorian scholars, what type of guy was a monograph guy- like a podcast guy or a sub stack guy?

I couldn't attend Lavina's memorial in person because I'm sick, but I'm so glad to be able to tune in remotely and celebrate a colleague gone way too soon.

I have been watching BBC's Sherlock and Dr. Strange did not prepare me for how young and pretty the Cumberbatch is in S1. This is what the Greek poets were on about, right?

I have some kind of Victorian brain fever. Temperature of 101, delirium and chills, dreams in which I solve a hundred Sherlock Holmes cases. Feels like a doctor with sideburns should be along to prescribe cold compresses and bed rest and no more detective novels, they overheat the skull.

I did! I hope they like it

If AI people were serious about AI actors, they’d be approaching agencies for licensing deals of actual celebrities. I don’t know if they‘d get takers but there is at least a market and a way that it fits into the agency business model.

I'm speed-reading the entirety of the Holmes canon right now and it is only with great effort that I avoid using the word "whilst" in my casual emails.

I have come to the deep fandom history now.

Who is the biggest Sherlockian I know? Who is the biggest Sherlockian YOU know? I would like to interview some Sherlockians, ideally women, ideally people who have their own takes on the character.

I know Sherlock had a lot of imitators, but does Watson? To clarify, what post Sherlock (or hell, pre-Sherlock) detectives had a Boswell who narrated their aventures?

(follow up question, has anyone ever done Samuel Johnson, crime-solving scholar?)

I'm reading "A Study in Scarlet" for the first time and Brigham Young has a cameo in it? Also Sherlock Holmes kills a dog.
