I had a bit of a freakout where I was like "wait no it isn't" and then googled it and it ABSOLUTELY is. I am 41. I have been saying that for most of my life casually and never thought of it. I am an asshole. Thank you for letting me know.

The big thing I can't forgive is the FOMO. It's fucking infuriating to see a skin I would actually drop money on, be told that it's "available for unlock in store", then go to the store and not see the fucking skin there, instead seeing a rotating list. It's a lootbox for the CHANCE to buy.

Dunno how I feel about the pricing, but I guess the deluxe bundle is like... I guess buying the game in early access. We'll see once the other characters come out.

Do we actually know if the base roster is free? It was free during beta, but they could easily change that. The pessimistic side of me thinks that we're going to start with the whole roster locked and spend the two tutorial tokens on whatever two characters we want. They probably won't, but. Corpos.

I'm REALLY hoping that that starter Arcane set means that I get all the starting characters and first year of characters. I'd much rather just pay for a game I want instead of dealing with a hojillion obfuscating currencies.

Every fighting game needs at least one character that you absolutely just haaaaaate with the passion and fury of a thousand suns. Peacock and Happy Chaos are good examples of this. There 100% needs to be a Silly Little Guy that makes you want to break controllers.

Wild they went after Moorwing, I didn't think he was all that rough. I guess they wanted to make the early game a bit less ballbusting, which makes sense. Call me when they do this for Savage Beastfly I will fucking throw a party for that asshole getting nerfed.

I don't think it's going to be bigger. I have a sneaking suspicion it might actually be smaller, what with the various towns and quests and things they keep talking about. You might be going back and forth through smaller, denser areas than you did in HK. I am fully prepared to eat crow on this.

I don't know if this counts but like in the early 2000s there was this trend of making fake video game walkthroughs, with the big one being this walkthrough for a game called "Beath of Flams". It's hilarious but VERY of its time. If you can find it, give it a read, I wonder how it stacks up now.
