Oh my analysis is spot-on, here and with knowing that you and Anthony have shown that your sympathies ultimately lie not with queer people but with the bigots that want us dead.

That does remind me of the time I got saddled with a huge-ass truck from a car rental place while my car was in the shop. While visiting a friend in the city I took a wrong turn, got stuck driving into a narrow street, and it seemed like half the neighborhood came out to help me back out.

He looks a lot like an ex of mine with the beard and it's messing with my brain.

Her mother is a MAGA lawyer! There's no "maybe" about it.
And I have graded student work of that kind, having been a TA myself, which is one of the reasons I feel confident in saying the OP is either trying to legitimize a "blame the victim" narrative or has insanely low standards as a teacher.
December 2, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Yes, ignoring what the issue is actually about and why it's gained a national boost while engaging in blatant "blame the victim" rhetoric (while failing to prove the TA did anything wrong as a teacher, but again, that's all a distraction that serves no purpose but to undermine the obvious victim).

It's like the court of Nero but if all the participants are unable to plot their way through a tutorial scenario of CRUSADER KINGS III>

And I'd think the employee from a discriminated group whose job has been endangered because of a student with ties to a fascist organization has a much better claim to 1A protection than said student who created a hostile work/learning environment by calling the person grading her paper "demonic."

Scrutinizing the actions of a member of a targeted minority with likely few employment rights who was acting within their rights while completely ignoring the other party who was obviously acting in bad faith and with malice and outside support sure looks like making a claim of fault to me.

Is it just straights on there?
Definitely not asking because I'm feeling a bit anxious I might be on there *cough*.

Why the mere existence of entire organizations of LGBTQ Christians across denominations doesn't negate this entire line of "reasoning" is beyond me.
December 1, 2025 at 8:29 PM
It kind of reminds me of how I get horrified afresh when I'm reminded I get more done when I'm stressed out.

Hell I'd go further and say that the ability to claim that there is an intangible core belief that's threatened by anything other than explicit persecution or infringement of the freedom to personal belief ended with the Reformation.

Aside from the fact that the other TA who was not trans agreed with the "0" grade, he's still essentially arguing that the trans graduate student is at fault for not having a better rubric while the student working with the far-right organization is protected by the First Amendment somehow.
December 1, 2025 at 7:08 PM
The fact the OP is apparently professionally involved in LGBTQ legal protections is really depressing the hell out of me.
December 1, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Contrarian? I suppose "trying to legally reason why the victim, a graduate student who likely has few or no protections, of an obvious transphobic sting operation is actually in the wrong for not having a better grading rubric because they're queer" is "contrarian", in a sense...
December 1, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Maybe I should pursue a law degree after all if you all's standards are really this insanely low.
December 1, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Fair point!
December 1, 2025 at 5:28 PM
No words about the obviously politically motivated attack on a trans TA?
December 1, 2025 at 5:22 PM
What I'm taking from this is that academic standards for you poli sci people must be hovering around "business school" levels at best.
