I can't stress this out more: if you're streaming or uploading talks to YouTube, get yourself a nice lapel microphone. This room had a lot of echo, and it was noisy outside, and hear the difference the microphone makes.

I really dislike the design philosophy behind most slide templates nowadays. Too much empty space and small text. I want my slides to be readable from the back of the room, even with a not-so-big projection. You should be able to read everything in the slide on your phone with your arm extended.

What I love the most about them is how they’ve made them collectible fashion items by having multiple colors and materials. I always tell myself I’ll start collecting them once my old Casio fails (my older brother handed it down to me 30 years ago) but the thing just keeps going.
