If the Albanese govt remains too gutless to tax the gas industry properly [and reform the tax system], that won't just mean poorer services and greater #inequality.

It could be politically disastrous for Labor.

The UK Labour govt shows how rapidly support can be lost if people's needs are ignored.
Our healthcare system is strained with packed waiting rooms, patients waiting in pain for years, and delayed appointments due to cost. But a solution exists.

A 25% tax on gas exports could raise $17 billion a year, funding that could help our healthcare system.

💯 agree homes need to return to being readily available shelter not a highly tax effective investment class.

And the tech is available to do it and has been available for a long time. 80% of Sweden's homes are prefab and they've been doing them that way for decades.

Tech in new TVs way better than old ones, and always cheaper, no?

Solar panels, too

Wright's Law driving learning, efficiencies, scale and volume, means prices decline while quality improves.

We're used to house and property prices only going up

Surely it's time to challenge that paradigm?

Horned toads used to be everywhere—tiny, armored, full of personality.

Now they’re harder to find, quietly disappearing.

For thousands of species, we’ll never know the moment they’re gone—only that the silence feels different. 😔

Having built a system that is destructive of the environment that surrounds and sustains us, we are now proposing to change … the environment!
Driving us towards this technological fix is the damage inflicted by existing technology.

Techno-capitalists think innovation can save the planet. But that same thinking is what got us here
An upside-down mindset is emerging around the world. We have to rethink our relationship with the environment and the technology that has caused it harm
