Artist, feeder of two cats, walker of my wife’s dogs, love art, poetry, James Joyce, St.Patrick’s Athletic, Leinster Rugby ( why are my teams so far away from where I live???) I live in Sligo, Nth West of Ireland: where W.B.Yeats is buried.
It is tiresome, though. It’s like an extreme case of “ buyer’s remorse “, regretting voting for that orange moron.
Well, here’s a thing, America. You didn’t vote the other way. You could have.
You bought it, now eat it..

Round towers were built in Ireland as defensive structures against Viking raids. The doors were accessed by ladder, which was then pulled up into the tower

Day out yesterday! We drove about an hour South into Co. Mayo, to the National Museum of Country Life, not far from Castlebar.
We stopped, on the way, at Turlough, nearby, to visit this ruined abbey with an intact round tower…

Next they’ll be telling us that feeding our dogs and children is good for our relationship!
With regard to that, the dogs are fine, but the kids always pull on the lead…

I have two cats ( well, one was my daughter’s…) :
One, Alan, is affectionate and communicative; the other Mr.Bittens, is fat, food obsessed, and sleepy. He likes to play fight, in the rare occasions when he is awake and not eating.

I wouldn’t be a fan of: too sweet.
But I did buy this, in a shop near the tube station… the chap ( Palestinian) who sold it to me said his wife made it. It was quite sweet also, but not uncomfortably so.

Always remember Sam Vimes’s boot theory!
Madame has decreed that we are going out this afternoon to buy a “ good, decent” bed for our old dog, Harry, because the one he has is worn out ( chewed a bit , too) and “ he can’t get comfortable.”
Does that explain why he’s always on the sofa?

This arrived yesterday, thank you Cethan. It felt more appropriate to post it today.
Looking forward to reading it soon!

Coffee, toast, dog walk, some work on the below piece…
Then a beer and watch Ireland play Portugal away: tactics no doubt modelled on Custer’s Last Stand…🙄

I like a bit of a saunter myself. My wife’s dog and myself go on a long march each day, but we saunter the last kilometre home… ( the dog is a real flaneuse)

I never knew what he looked like in the first place. Never heard of him until now.
You’ve changed your look too. I once looked like this.

😂
Yas’m!
I will whip the dogs’ beds out from under them, and wash them!
Do you think, if I put the older dog- who needs a bath, tbf, in too, at a reduced spin cycle, that’d be ok?
Maybe a cat or two as well?

Sending Paratroopers into a city to police Civilians?
What could possibly go wrong?

Yesterday, I had to dispose of a half chewed and slashed mouse from the CatRoom floor. My prime suspect, pictured below. His kills are always visceral.

Girl children ( we have 3) accumulate small hairy animals, then go and live elsewhere, leaving Dad to look after said menagerie.
In fairness we added to that: we now have 2 cats, 2 dogs.
