God, what an epic it could have been, better executed in an alternate universe.

Kenobi blocking the strike behind his head overhanded then snapping a downward swing to block the second strike right in front of his face all as one smooth motion is literally a perfect defense, and MacGregor made it look effortless. A stunning show of skill all around in less than half a second.

Then proceeded to script the absolute perfection of Kenobi successfully defending a two-bladed assault with a single blade of his own (which any combat veteran will tell you is fucking HARD because a competent opponent constantly has you in a state of double jeopardy).

It's like the choreographer was blocking out the greatest sequence of his career, then left to take a shit and let his intern dick around for a minute and screw it all up, then came back and went "What'd I miss? Fuck it, I'm sure it's fine."

Duel of the Fates is the best fight sequence Star Wars has ever put to film, music and action both, right up until Qui-Gon fights Maul solo and just randomly dies to a total rookie error. So out of place. Absolute fire aside from that, and again when Maul just DOESN'T DEFEND at the very end.

Naked Gun was a fun movie, but I've seen it twice in my life and that was more than enough. I feel no compulsion whatsoever to revisit it or quote it.

Police Squad is a way better comedy and movie. And I'd happily watch Loaded Weapon for the 20th time before I'd even consider rewatching Naked Gun.
