Wow, what a difference a week makes! We’ve gone from fall vibes to full-on winter mode practically overnight. Now we’re staring down temperatures dipping toward zero, and snow is officially on the way! Time to break out the cozy blankets and hot drinks!

The Trump statue has finally been installed as part of Rapid City’s "City of Presidents" - months after tourist season, naturally. Apparently he spent the whole summer being babysat by the Visitors’ Center. Feels wildly on-brand. Honestly, this statue is so ugly it should come with a warning label.

It's #thicktrunkTuesday. This tree grows in the Manassas National Battlefield Park, the site of the first and second battles of Bull Run. The first battle was the first major engagement of the Civil War. Bull Run is the stream that runs through the battlefield.

I miss the Oregon coast. Wild and untamed or smooth as silk, it is always full of surprises. The waves crash, the wind howls, the seals frolic, and best of all, every inch of that often-rugged shoreline belongs to the public.

Wow, did we ever show up today! Rapid City, in deep-red #SouthDakota, came out in force to kick fascist a$$ at our #NoKings rally! Thousands of people, fired up and fearless. One angry guy even spit at me from his car… so I blew him a kiss and kept on walking. Democracy > hate, every time!
