I remember this being talked about in our school playground for months before I finally got to play it. Maybe because it had been so hyped (or perhaps because of the issues you've highlighted) I was really disappointed with it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my dad just over 12 months ago and it's hard. Like you, I found some comfort in remembering the quirky and odd things he did which made him him.
