Revel No. 3's special William H. Gass folio includes At Horseshoes, unpublished fiction from his archives. A handwritten note by Gass attached to his story’s manuscript begins:

“Written around 1954 – 5 At Horseshoes was supposed to be part of OL [Omensetter’s Luck] but never got there..."
