I hope your place stays ok. Landslides are terrible. When they occur in conjunction with flooding rain they're catastrophic. A friend from Newcastle/Stockton moved to Thailand a few years ago with his partner who is Thai. Here's to the Thai government helping everyone impacted. 🇹🇭 🌧️

No AU 🇦🇺 🤩. Honestly, snow is hard to understand. Not sure we'd cope! Still it was 40°C here yesterday and that is way too hot. IMHO mid 20s all year round would be perfect.

I hope this is true! We're slowly building out more raised veggie beds, & planting natives, avocado, & fig. The local native bees seem to be happy and showing up more often. Fingers crossed the native birds we get locally will keep hanging out too. 🤩 🐦⬛ 🐝

Indeed. It’s 19°C cooler now. Yesterday’s hot westerly winds are now from the south. The fire fronts have shifted. RFS still has 95 incidents statewide. Still a number of fires not controlled. About two years ago our clothes line was commandeered by two Willie Wagtails. Over about 2 months they raised 3 chicks. One day mum n dad taught their new family to fly. From our shed to our roof and back. This went on for a few hours. Then they were gone. Just magnificent.

Nice! Yes, we really like the striped zucchini too, so easy to grow and tasty too. There's also gardener on YouTube who stakes his zucchini once they have started running and grows them vertically. Sounds like we may gave try vertical zucchini soon! All the best. 🤩

Thanks! We've have had over 10kg from this one plant over the last 8 weeks. Planted about 8 seeds & only one of this grey variety germinated. But, we're probably lucky the other did not shoot! The freezer is full of curries & family are happy too. Don't know if we could cope with 80kg! 😍
