Social media posts are tools to cause further division by continuously fueling conversations about the abuse of power, softening the alarm caused by bigger abuses. But mocking half your population is a tremendously bad idea, those mean tweets will be in the inevitable trials.

This highlights an important lesson about why some people felt swayed by Trump in general. He spoke directly to fears and needs that were being ignored by Democrats or the mainstream. People felt cast out, others felt the country was spiraling, either way he promised a quick remedy.

Page 1088 of the DoD Law of War manual gives the example of an order to fire up on the shipwrecked as something that even subordinates would understand as "clearly illegal" in the portion dealing with when its permitted to defy orders.

I think if the end goal was framed as "Americans have easy access to quality healthcare without fear of medical bankruptcy" more Republicans would open up to overhauling this part of America. Our system is abysmal for so many, it needs to change. its time to work together to lessen the suffering.

Some thoughts: It is unlikely the GOP will accept any form of government healthcare, but it is likely you will find people who agree that healthcare is morally good, that medical bankruptcy is unnecessary, and that its possible for the free market to make everything better.

It's a temporary solution, but it looks like the only one to keep the healthcare market from collapsing. But your opponent fundamentally disagrees with what you're trying to save. They see the skyrocket as a net positive as it will force people off gov subsidies and into the marketplace.

Absolutely, we need the majority working together towards the same goal of making America whole again, or perhaps for the first time. The next president has to do something very wise and give up a tremendous amount of power back to the people, and we need this congress to be brave and stand up.

We never wrote in enough guardrails in the constitution to reign in a rogue commander-in-chief. The powers of the three branches need to be adjusted based on our 250 years of experience, because our Constitution is being put to the test right now by people who don't know the breaking point.

You're right, but George Washington did foresee this political situation and warned against it in his Farewell Address. They flawed thinking they covered everything, as is common with new ideas. We've failed as a country to pass on how to be good citizens, and lost what it meant to be American.

Everyone must stand in the sun. We exist in one world, with one life each, with one truth to be found. We can't stand by while authority twists history and covers for such heinous crimes. Those who have a predatory lust for power take it from the most vulnerable. Expose them and let justice be done.

AI can benefit us, but not if left unchecked. Imagine AI simulating human biology to the point where medicines can be tested trillions of times before ever being administered, or analyzing weather data to give more accurate predictions. But if we try to create sentience, we'll create slaves.

Our world has become more difficult, despite what we perceive as advancement. Existence needn't be as cruel as it is, we do have the power to change it. We can only bear the weight of this world by lifting together, by loving humanity together, by building something new when we saw what was broken

Democrats fail because the values of many of its leaders do not match the values of the Democrat citizen. For two long the Left has had an empty or all encompassing mission statement. Focus on a core message and a vision for tomorrow, and elect people who want to see that vision come alive.

Begin where you already have influence. Speak truth with compassion in your home, your workplace, your online spaces. Politics is more than showing up to vote. It’s the moral art of everyday choices. The light spreads through small acts of integrity. Return honor and dignity to the public square.

Too many good souls have been taught to fear being in politics. We need torchbearers to lift the light of humanity and share it with all. For the first time in history, we can speak to the whole world at once. Now is the time for the good-hearted to rise and will a better world into being.

The political landscape we see now is a mirror reflecting decades of bad policy. People are supporting an authoritarian voice because they believe anything else is a weak continuation of the same ideology that caused the issues in the first place. Healing the divide won't be easy, but it can be done

Yes! The collective effort to uncover the truth and nature of our reality. Discovery is part of human purpose, and as Sagan said, "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known." All challenges we face can be better tackled when we know more and share that knowledge freely.

Perhaps this is proof that a two party, winner-take-all election system is inherently broken. The Democrats are three parties pretending to be one and the Republicans are two parties posing as a third. We can't risk collapsing every election. We need political evolution.

The USA wandered for 40 days in a desert devoid of wisdom and compassion, and gained nothing from the experience. This shutdown was no accident, it's a reflection of a moral failure of leadership. We must summon the courage to demand accountability and renewal.
November 11, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Global warming isn’t nature’s revenge. It’s humanity’s reflection. We can still choose renewal. Every act of care, invention, or restraint is a thread in the future we’ll live to see. We must choose to mend what’s been broken, and we'll need the majority of all people on our side.
November 11, 2025 at 2:19 AM
Be warned: Moral heteronomy begins when we stop judging right and wrong for ourselves and surrender our conscience to an authority. The "banality of evil" creeps into society when cruelty is excused as a necessity and violence is used as a means to an end. Take a stand against violent rhetoric.
