On Sep 20, we’re drawing the line.

From rallies to strikes, marches to gatherings, communities will mobilize across the country and demand that Mark Carney and the Canadian government pick a side: injustice, violence, and climate destruction— or a just and safe future for all of us.

Last month, we all watched a panel discussion by Indigenous Climate Action: The Rise of Fascism & the Indigenous Peoples Response.

Our circle discussed the points raised in this panel to draw lessons about our collective struggle against colonialism & fascism.

Note that at an all-candidates meeting in Maple Bay, a question from the audience asked if candidates would support a transphobic bylaw that would ban trans women from using women's washrooms.

Only two candidates said they would NOT support such a bylaw: Johanna Kemmler & Joanna Lord.
