People seemed to really like this, so here is a version with some more natural looking lighting that you can also impliment really quickly in sketches. the other verion is great for stuff on a blank background, but if you have a character in an actual space, this will (possibly) work better for you.

did this for a mutual who wanted to know how id shaded a piece. this isnt the most realistic shading, but if you want a very quick and easy way to shade characters on a blank bg, this can work.
