Note that I'm talking in general, not the specific case (because I can't). But it's not a case of "we're all good!" but also not "every evil mining project is starting immediately."

How it's shaken out in the last year is they can't touch the laws, but they can try to do an end-run in their interpretation of them. Also, more things end up in the courts. (The Tribes often do very, very important work that benefits all of us in taking things to court.)

Speaking as someone who works in the environmental consulting industry, there is a loooooooooooot of permitting and public comments on said permitting for the mining company to make it through.
