Same with secession of Scotland or Wales from the Union. Much as I advocate indy, in all likelihood it can't happen without some kind of replacement union, even if transitory, e.g. some pooled sovereignty, a CTA, single market... the process needs years of gradual transition, as Brexit should have.

I can hear the difference. I can't listen to a Beatles album and enjoy it the same way streaming, on CD, on an 80s double box or even a 60s single box repress. Got to be black and yellow label - those pressings are so superior. I've shown people many times queuing up two pressings and crossfading.

There was time when Rega fixed the motor with double sided tape...not sure of the build quality nowadays. Pro-Ject make decent entry turntables and Rega had to up their game about 7 years ago as vinyl was making a comeback.

Kids would come in wondering why everyone lied to them about vinyl sounding better till I explained they needed to spend £500 on new gear. They'd be aghast till I pointed out they think nothing of spending a grand on a phone and asked them what sort of mobile they'd get for £40. Then they got it.

You can put an Ortofon 2M blue on a red cart btw, which is a useful tip...cheap upgrade. I used to be an Ortofon dealer before lockdown and Brexit killed that side to our business.
