Meh. There are at least three decent hooks for a clever take right there, and that's all you have?

That's not even an insult, that just how every cliche 'murican sounds the day they learn that languages other than English exist.

I guess a lot of six-year-olds would agree to that sound logic. Then they learn of a concept called "creativity", whereas you don't copy ideas without attribution, but generate entirely new ideas from them.

Which, if we listen to actual experts, not 6 yo's, AI cannot actually do (yet?):
Can AI be truly creative?
Chatbots and AI models are challenging ideas about who — or what — can create art, music and more.

Wait, are you telling me Open AI is allowed to steal whatever they want, but I am not? Now who's a hypocrite?
November 28, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Now that'd be properly British. Blimey! But ah, you see, people make that mistake frequently. It seems like one string of typos, but it's really just how we dyke-dwellers speak. Verontschuldiging!
November 28, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Don't make me tap the sign.

That being said, "hypocrite Luddite" is kinda rad. Maybe I'll put that into my bio. If only I could be certain you actually meant it, instead of likely confounding both words for some entirely different ones :(
But you know, let's accept your premise. Even if let's say your phone has AI features, and even if you actually used them. You can even really like AI personally.

Even then(!), you can still acknowledge the mounting evidence that AI can be really, really bad.

Are you really denying this?
November 28, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Really? Sorry to hear that! Given your hapless command of the pejorative style, I was convinced you had the concept firmly nailed down.

I suspect those news will come as a surprise to my compatriots, given that most of them expected their king to sit in Amsterdam, but I for one take the compliment!
November 28, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Ah, finally something entirely out of the blue again! That's the way!

Nah, they seem like a nice enough bloke & they have a job to do, so alas no. We did have a quick chat earlier though and they are no fan of AI either, so if you want to win back the local conductor demographic, step up your game!
November 28, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Huh? Is that even an actual insult? I guess I have to take what I can get, but bonus points for creativity!

Solid advice, but you'd be surprised to learn that most people actually have a fairly good reading comprehension, so I think I'm safe
November 28, 2025 at 7:19 PM
As much as your communicative companionship has come to grow on me - I'm afraid if I did, I wouldn't be here. But my train is two hours late and I need to kill some time.

I guess I could read up on some papers, but I don't feel it, so I'm counting on you!
November 28, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Come on, anything? Maybe another ridiculous mix-up, something like "maths" and "meth"?

Tbh, I've always made it a point to avoid doing either, but I have a feeling you have a knack for it!
November 28, 2025 at 7:08 PM
You do you. But maybe you find some inspiration there to continue our unhinged duett?

I'm actually cool with it. All I'm saying is you should think about if it's worth it. As it seems you can't even think of anything else, so close enough I guess. Can I request an art style?
But you know, let's accept your premise. Even if let's say your phone has AI features, and even if you actually used them. You can even really like AI personally.

Nah mate, if you want fresh jokes you have to put some effort into it yourself, not just circle back like that!

Aww come on man, now you're getting lazy. We've been there, remember? Back when I thought you're actually interested in a normal conversation?

Again, there's a concept between called algorithms. If you're still confused, check out the article above by clicking or tapping on the big shiny picture.

You do really like your strawmen, but you do really seem to hate bringing straw. Nobody claims they're curated by hand, that's what algorithms are for. You know, the things that are not to be confounded by AI?

Haha alright mate. If that really is what you took away from our extensive if somewhat unbalanced discussion, I'm beginning to understand why you missed every point like a drunk going for the keyhole. Admittedly, I was suspecting you did it on purpose, so I'm sorry to have thought that ill of you!

I sincerely mean this as friendly but urgent advice: You really need to start reading up on your stuff before you make wild claims. Algorithms are just strings of mathematical instructions. AI systems are built upon algorithms, not the other way round.

Mate, you're impressively quick with flinging petty insults for someone who just mistook regular algorithms for actual AI systems, and also apparently claims not to know how LLMs & Co work in the first place.

There are a LOT of studies on all this by now.

Oh sweet Jesus, I think we've been talking about entirely different things then. Algorithms and AI are two VERY different things, but I can definitely understand the mix-up. To be clear, nobody is arguing against algorithms. AI (i.e. LLMs) on the other hand...

You know, I was really approaching this discussion in good faith initially. And looking at your profile, I genuinely thought you are a decent and reflective person. So why are you so weirdly offended by critique that is literally public knowledge at this point?
November 28, 2025 at 4:26 PM
Dang, either I have mistaken this place for a public site specifically created for exchanging opinions, or you have mistaken it for a private DM convo. Hard to tell. Let me know once you find out, I'll do the same, deal?
