Except she isn’t. We know she isn’t. All of these are political choices.

That sounds a huge amount for a rear light. The exposure ones are 80
November 13, 2025 at 7:49 PM
That it’s wider is one of the benefits advertised by B&M about the Topline I have on the back of my Galaxy.

The other rear light I rate is the Exposure TraceR - small, but stupidly bright

In any civilised country in the world, the leader would have long stepped down!

That’s the sort of weather you start having a relationship with! You start humanising it so you can argue with it!

I bet that’s cold rain there too - straight off the Irish Sea
November 13, 2025 at 2:17 PM
You should come west! Cardiff is the wettest city in the UK and I live 12 miles east of there. We’ll have days of non-stop rain, although it’s actually sunny at the moment (due to start raining as I finish work and get ready for a ride).

“Luxury leisure” would be the £100k EV that I can get on salary sacrifice
November 13, 2025 at 1:42 PM
I think I might have been a bit flippant, but it won’t be far off. I have access to such a scheme in work so I’ll price up a Porsche Taycan and see what the figures are.
November 13, 2025 at 11:44 AM
And they’d save a whole lot more if they stopped salary sacrifice EV schemes where
November 13, 2025 at 10:38 AM
And those same finance bros will have access to salary sacrifice EV schemes where they can get their £100k Taycan at 42% off
November 13, 2025 at 10:37 AM
That was my thought. I have access to a salary sacrifice scheme for EVs so I can get a £100k EV on salary sacrifice, but my £3k bike is too much?!

And it’s the dust in the bottom of the bag of peanuts compared to unfreezing fuel duty.

It’s not gentlemanly to bet on a certainty
November 13, 2025 at 7:34 AM
It’s happened before and unless our political leaders do something, it will happen again.

I used to commute between two cities at rush hour; I’m used to it, but can you imagine it happening to a new cyclist. They’re riding properly and the next thing they’re inches away from 2 tonnes of metal
November 12, 2025 at 5:05 PM
And it’s not as if they’re even British any more.
November 12, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Yep. The guy that deliberately tried to drive into me today wasn’t being held up by me. It was a 20 limit downhill in traffic with traffic lights. He just didn’t like that I was using the road.

Thank you for the offer, but I’m struggling to keep my current car nice so I don’t think I’ll be able to look after another one.
