Verney was a Mercer & pro-Yorkist mayor of London, knighted by Edward IV in 1471. Although many 15th c wills survive, records detailing the work of executors & showing how wills were actually carried out, generally do not. This therefore offers the rare chance to answer many questions. #skystorians
