Generally enjoying coding right now. CSS is just really good these days.

Back in the day…. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe etc. Like actual stylesheets for specific browser versions with weird regex style hacks. Wild times.

I read that and thought - not doing to bad then then about across all windows. Oh dear.

Housing associations take that an add ineptitude to it as well. It’s a fascinating mix of lack of context and failure.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

Nuked my standard UK hosted server and went VPS 😎

Wanted to deploy more custom tools and side hustles outside of PHP/Stactic and after learning there are decent services like ploi.io so I don’t have to do everything in vim.
Ploi - Server Management Tool
Use Ploi.io for easy site deployments. We take all the difficult work out of your hands, so you can focus on doing what you love: developing your application.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Likewise. It’s just fascinating I hope she is the subject of PPE lectures for decades. So much content.

Funny that the earthquake machines in a relatively small country with a large population density aren’t popular.

Nick Robinson asks "Can you have a racist policy without being racist yourself?"

Macpherson definition: racism not only simply intention - but discriminatory impacts too.

Farage policy on ILR discriminates: he protects Europeans but threatens those from Commonwealth countries (India, Nigeria)

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

Walked a lot of miles last year for an end of a Tory government & the start of a Labour one

Not been many times since then (beyond some good structural changes) I’ve felt able to not start to regret the miles

Today was a good (re)start. A diverse tolerant decent and awesome Britain. More of this.

hardly anyone will watch Starmer's appearance at Labour conference today but it was probably the best speech he's ever given

he clearly signposted what he stands for - a diverse, tolerant, decent Britain - and how be believes progressives are in an existential fight with the populist right
