We’re discussing options as a family for when it would be best to say goodbye to him. The last thing we want is for him to experience a bleed anywhere else and have anymore pain. He’s already lost vision in the affected eye.

I love my boy so much. He came into our lives when my mom was diagnosed with cancer herself. He walked her to the bathroom in the dark, he laid with her after chemotherapy. It fucking crushes me to know cancer is what’s taking him away.

Specifically hemangiosarcoma, which is a cancer that’s spreading all throughout his blood vessels and is especially aggressive. It’s what cause the uveitis I posted about a week or so ago, and unfortunately there’s no cure. Everything for Gunner is going to be palliative.
