it wasn't until after the first time i saw someone saying that that i even figured out how it would be possible since like. i didn't have to do anything special to preserve those features in mihri's sculpt

i keep seeing people saying things like "sculpts don't work with lipstick or facepaint" (referring to paid mods) and it's like. okay well that is not automatically true no that only happens if the sculpt maker messed up

i've seen so many upscales of vanilla gear that don't work with gloves or boots etc because they just failed to understand and preserve the attribute system

you know i have never used a paid mod but i'm always really taken aback by the seeming lack of technical standards in the paid mod side of the community. i've seen prospective modders told to not examine vanilla models to learn how they work bc vanilla is "absurdly optimized"

yeah penumbra has come so far and it is undeniably better for control of mod data structures! but a lot of things are easier in tt than people think they are

penumbra makes it easier to only include the metadata you specifically need instead of copying metadata that's identical to vanilla anyway. but i promise it's so easy to make identical variants in textools

Hearing ADHD people talk about how the term "low on spoons" sucks and doesn't describe their experience when it was created to describe PHYSICAL disabilities and was never about ADHD really irritates me as a person with ADHD and the physical disabilities that "spoons" describes.

it's literally so fucking annoying like people tell physically disabled people to just do things. my experience is that my physical disability is vastly less accommodated for than my depression, adhd, or autism
