Sometimes I dream about that spot on my partners couch where I would sit and draw and watch the train. I think the train nearby tricks me into thinking I'm back there, happy, relaxed, loved, and safe. Then I wake up and I'm still in my bed but it hurts less because I know I can go back soon.

I swear it took me a week to recover from my visit. What an emotional roller-coaster. I've slept so much since I got back but I'm starting to feel normal again.

On the phone with my partner, listening to them try to donate to the shelter but it's not accepting so they just start walking around giving out blankets and hats and gloves personally to the people around the neighborhood because it's freezing where they live.
