I have a lovely edition of Meditations that was a college graduation gift, and of the many passages that have held up quite well, this is perhaps the one that always feels the most relevant to me.

Between this guy and @velveteenrabbi.bsky.social bluesky is clearly the be... well, okay, it's a low bar when the competing site is Twitter, but still.

If I said the trees are better in Michigan it'd be Ann Arborist.

I was ignorant and always thought kielbasa was the megacorp stuff we bought at the supermarket until this summer we got legit kielbasa from the farmer's market and it is 100% a different food.

To be fair, when you're stealing billions from the US, $210k does look like irrelevant chump change.

That makes sense for individual blockers! I think it's more irksome to find your way onto a list you feel is ill-deserved and then be blocked by many people who decide to use that list.

But it's a downside you sort of have to accept for moderation lists to have any real utility in the first place.
