I’d def cut out the long and repetitive introductions and the repetitive bits. The whole story was completely knew to me

It was good viewing despite the annoying editing

I wish your OH the very best of luck

Good Morning Countess and fellow ORCs. I watched “The Man in the Mask” yesterday on BBC TV. A true murder story that is baffling and full of twists. I found the editing very annoying but was so drawn in that I persisted. I’ve few little jobs to do first thing so time to get up and make tea

The play looked good and the theatre company seems to do interesting stuff. Shame it is the end of the tour as I’m no able to get to any of the remaining performances

I’ve checked it out and joined their mailing list. Thanks for the tip

Awful!

Hear hear!

Hmmm! I wouldn’t mention the vinyl album to your OH. Might still be a sore point. Jeff Beck was, imo, an amazing guitarist, but very different to Renbourn. Coincidentally, he was at the same secondary school as I went to, albeit he was older and had long gone before I arrived

Oooh! I wonder which one. I listen to their stuff regularly. Sadly 3 of the original members now dead. Danny Thompson died very recently in September. I’m glad I saw them live in the 70s and then on the final tour with the original line up

Thanks. I’ve never heard of it but will take a look. I like small arts spaces as they often have amazing things

Brilliant guitarist. See my reply to Hilary’s reply to me

Let me know what you think. If you like Early Music try “The Lady and the Unicorn” which has has EM influences. Also you might like his collaboration with Bert Jansch “ Bert and John”. I knew him through Pentangle of which he was a member - who I saw in my first ever live gig

I don’t often look forward to serials on TV, so often miss when they are on and lose the plot. Shetland however is an exception
November 27, 2025 at 8:11 AM
It’s very, very good
November 27, 2025 at 8:08 AM
There may be several. Is it rats or squirrels?

👍 I will have to make sure he features in today’s playlist. I spent a good chunk of the weekend listening to John Renbourn. He is one of my favourite musicians

Has the odd odour disappeared?

Sounds like a very productive day
November 27, 2025 at 7:42 AM
All sounds good, especially the play. Where was that on?
