I'm relying on youtube (having been let down by a succession of swindlers and incompetents) Its mostly going fine, but nothing is as straightforward as it appears in the catalogue (I've visited the plumbing merchant three times already today...)

I'm fitting a kitchen myself at the moment. Most of it learnable from youtube, but haven't dared tried rendering yet. Any good sources for self-teaching?

Recently sat on a jury for a very long, nasty, trial. My fellow jurors paid attention the whole time (which showed in their questions), took it extremely seriously and agonized over the verdict. I know we get a lot of these "I cant be bothered to to be a citizen" stories but they aren't universal.

The only thing worse than buying a house in Ireland is trying to find honest builders to renovate it. In the end I gave up and took to youtube and friends to teach me how to do it myself

Interesting review. I shared your misgivings re the ending. My (fairly uncertain) guess is that Boyle is making a point about the sentiments that wish for a return to the past--reminding us of the monsters that past held? He was ubiquitous. I even found a pic of the pair of us from when I was a kid

Maybe show the eejit this? themindsjournal.com/the-first-si... Human USP is our ability support one another as complex eusocial beings. If he doesn't want to get with the programme then the one out of step with natural selection is him...

Very much agree. I make it a point of honour never to say anything in review I wouldn't say to someone face to face (maybe with a drink first to soften things.) I know for a fact that the reverse is not true.
