<div class="field field-field-text"><p data-end="74" data-start="0">The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) banned by Israel said on X that since 7 October, 2023, the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, has seen a sharp rise in Israeli and settler violence.</p>
<p data-end="468" data-start="253">According to the UN humanitarian office, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers since the war on Gaza began, with children making up around one-fifth of the deaths.</p>
<p data-end="673" data-is-last-node data-is-only-node data-start="470">Unrwa warned that “the increasing annexation of the West Bank is happening steadily in a gross violation of international law”, citing the expansion and formal recognition of illegal Israeli settlements.</p>
