While I love me some americana occasionally, what I love about america is the embrace of everyone's culture into something uniquely american. I love sports like basketball where people from rural french lick indiana and bronx new york both had significant impacts on the culture of the game.

The thing I love the most about america is how it's a melting pot, people are seen as people first not race or ethnicity first

Go to places in the old world and identity is where almost all discussions start

At least in California, identity only comes up when it's relevant to conversation
