We absolutely should be protesting the actions of the Israeli government towards the innocent people of Gaza. Jewish people absolutely should feel safe and secure and loved on the streets of our country. There is absolutely nothing incompatible between these two.

Ming Campbell was a dedicated public servant and a true Liberal giant.
His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom.
But more than that, he was an incredibly warm and caring friend and colleague.

Our politics and media have become viciously obsessed with immigration. Farage has made sure of it. And in that obsession, they’ve all lost sight of the people they target. Fellow human beings trying to live and belong somewhere.

I wonder what nonsense POTUS will come up with next? Maybe we should suggest a few in case he's stuck? Cleaning your teeth causes prostate cancer... eating breakfast cereal gives you AIDS... biscuits and gravy is a source of psoriasis.... breathing the air inside the Oval Office causes dementia...?
