Absolutely! I loved receiving mixtapes/burned CDs from friends when I was in school, and I loved making them, too. I spent ages making the perfect playlists for my friends & often created my own album art using MS Paint 🤣

When I started this fic, I thought the plotline with coach Yoon would be a side plot that signals the turning point in SJ's & YG's relationship, but the more I write, it's become clear that it's part of a bigger narrative about abuses of power in performance sports. Here's my most recent WIP:

“Seokjin-ah,” Yoongi hears coach Yoon’s voice as he exits the changing rooms. “We need to talk.”

“I don’t have anything to say to you, coach,” Seokjin says. “Please excuse me.”

Coach Yoon blusters. “If you think you can get away with this kind of attitude, you’re sorely mistaken. There will be consequences.”

“I’m more than happy to comply with any disciplinary processes once we’re back in Korea, but for now, I wish to focus on successfully wrapping up the worlds. If you would, please excuse me.”

“Hey,” coach Yoon calls angrily. “Don’t walk away from me. Kim Seokjin!”

Seokjin’s calm voice cuts through the air like a knife. “Please don’t touch me.”

“Her Voice” is a project aimed to tackle harmful gender-based practices such as dowry, child marriage, and gender-based discrimination.

Awareness campaigns and open discussions that include both men and women are one way RSKS India aims to transform their communities.
