Holy shit, I've no idea how this one has gone under the radar. A first person hack and slash, imagine Diablo from the perspective of an Elder Scrolls game, but the combat is sublime and the options for your build are absolutely nuts, especially considering it's a solo dev.

I didn't expect to love this game as much as I did. While it's a frustration-simulator on the face of it, it somehow turned into a very heartfelt tale, told through the medium of a fat man with a jiggly bottom trying to climb up slight inclines.

I got absolutely hooked on this for a solid month, a roguelike shooter that's not that much of a roguelike, but is very much of a shooter. The gunplay is fantastic, and the synergies are great. In EA right now, I've completed what's there so looking forward to more.

Take a kingdom builder, give it a dash of roguelike and then get all frantic with it. Enjoyable if samey quickly.

I was really enjoying it, then I got distracted by something else. Really need to go back to it; a grim-dark CRPG if CRPG's were action based instead of dice rolls.

Picked up for, I think, £1 and played it through from start to finish in 3.5 hours. It's a balls to the wall FPS with destructible scenery and is basically a John Woo film with a gun cannon attached to its arm.

Not quite sure why this hasn't become more of a darling indie game, considering it's a deckbuilder AND a roguelike, but combining those two things with Space Invaders works brilliantly. Looks and sounds great to boot.

Simple top-down arena shooter with a gamefeel that belies the ridiculously cheap price. Tough but very addictive.

An FPS that sees you repeat levels to compete for the best time, what initially starts off seeming impossible quickly becomes reality as you glide through a level like an actual death angel.
