I often find that the best reporting about the US comes from the UK & vice versa. To wit: The New Yorker's piece about the UK's failure to build a Holocaust memorial is a more clear-eyed explanation of the politics of memory than I have read in any UK publication. www.newyorker.com/news/letter-...
