In Friuli Venezia Giulia they make frico, which is melted cheese and potatoes, crispy on the outside, melted in the middle. Similar to tartiflette perhaps.

I ran down the hill to see the ice which looked perfectly still from up high, but was gently heaving on unseen waves as if breathing. Truly mesmerizing… and the reflection on frosted glass-like ice? Stunning. A sword of light coming up from the sun seemed to blaze even hotter. Utterly magnificent.
