When our queer ERG was being reformed ~2021 after falling apart years prior, I remember talking to folks as we put it back together about how we needed this to be an organization to protect our jobs & dignity on campus. It's mostly used to organize lunch-'n-learns & other social events now.
This OU bullshit, where this trans TA’s job is imperiled because she’s trans, is something I remember trying to explain to cis people I could see on the horizon like… four or five years ago, and no one would believe me, and it turns out now that it’s happening, no one still believes me lol

LRT sums up why I started working on my teaching certification a few years ago & dropped it once I got into proper ed classes. There's no safety net to help trans teachers who get harassed, let alone fully chased out of the classroom. We can't write books afterwards & make TPUSA money, right.

The future of wargaming is interesting bc in some ways it's experiencing a heyday for its equivalent to "retro gaming" while also in a time with multiple flagship titles that offload bookkeeping onto an app & a general push towards simpler rulesets w/ just a little hint of crunch.
