Shellback Caribbean Spiced Rum: This light colored Rum has a soft nose, primarily vanilla & caramel. It’s mild on the tongue but hot on the roof of the month. The flavor is of vanilla, orange & caramel. The finish is vanilla and has a burn. 7/10. Oddly from Modesto California.

Enjoying a fine one: English Harbour 10yr. Dandy indeed but I wish I had some dark Rum.

Review: Old Sam Demerara Rum. Bouquet is of chocolate, caramel, vanilla on the nose; underneath is a hint of sugar and must. Flavour is of Halloween molasses candies. Other flavors include apple, pineapple, leather and a hint of smoke. The finish is dry, weird for a demerara. 7/10. Mix with juice.

Did you know that Rum-running refers to the illegal transportation of alcoholic beverages into the country (any country for that matter). Note: The Rum-Runner boat is so loaded down, it's this close to to sinking!

Captain Morgan Spiced. Light amber color, the aroma is 90%vanilla, with 10% orange. I can detect dry almond and sour pineapple, but there's a lingering bitterness, yuk. The heat is mild, the finish is medicinal with a bitter oak note. 5/10, Best with sweet juices like mango.

2 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice
1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
Add ingredients to a tumbler, add ice
Top with Cruzan Black Strap Rum

Wow. Just learned that the Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area is located in Monroe County, GA. The 5,884-acre property has hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, small game, dove, waterfowl, and coyote.
