Said data curation remains of course, comprised almost exclusively of artwork scraped without notice or consent for aggregation in training data. The ethical problems, economic problems, and environmental problems produced by the technology are gonna remain regardless. It feels impossible to escape.

As it stands, composition anchoring such as IMG2IMG and other methods are effectively half of the battle to making convincing fakes, the other half is the right models and tweeks on micro-detailing, which so far appears to be less about computation and more about data curation.

Somewhere out there in the future might be a streamlined prompt generation suite which organizes compatible tags and allows for basic scene composition in real time. What limits people's usage is transforming ideas into words, and then re-generating and tweeking until satisfactory output is reached.

This said, the exact methodology of highly polished output can be comprised of multiple layers of anchoring, hours of generation tuning, and probably quite a lot of GPU cycles worth of energy.
The software is far from being able to replace competent composition direction, but can echo trends.

On E6AI I had spotted this one prompter's generations which were almost entirely indiscernible from conventional digital sketches. To this day when I check the website for examples of where the render capacity is at, I am still surprised when someone manages to nail generations of loose sketchwork.

After doing a lot of research into the technologies and limitations, the thing I've found is that it continues to improve but those improvements depend on people with art skills. Not just via existing scrape-training, but direction and anchoring methods which can produce some convincing fakes.
