Been meaning to read this for a while and it didn't disappoint. And incredible story of love and survival that particularly resonated with me due to personal connections. Strange to think my grandad and his family would've met the protagonist and endured the horrors alongside him #BookSky

The author came across as a bit of an insensitive arse at times but I whizzed through this and found it hilarious, fascinating and heartbreaking.
It was published in 2017 to highlight junior doctors' struggles and it's sad that things have got even worse for the NHS since then 😔 #BookSky

Was also weirdly written, e.g. often not clear who was talking and turns of phrase that were just strange. 2⭐️ #BookSky

It's been over a week and I'm still struggling after being ill, am exhausted and was up in the night having coughing fits. But not being able to exercise was making me miserable so I managed a short walk this evening ☀️
