I happened upon one of these creatures in our local park in early Spring.
He had a huge bunch of different daffodils that he had picked. (This park has sheep in it, and 40,000 million daffodils that everyone picks).

There are many resources and well written books on sampler quilts.

Are you just wanting to make a quilt of many colours that uses one or two blocks?, or a traditional quilt made of many blocks?

I remember a while ago for me, that walking to the mailbox as being such a long walk. Now I can do so much more.

I did nothing on Sunday except sit in the shade and hand stitch. It was nice to just pause and rest.

We back onto a farm, so flies are an issue when the sheep are there.
I buy a packet of whole cloves. Cut a lemon in half round ways, not wedge ways.
Stick the cloves in until the cut side of the lemon is covered. Put clove side up, in a saucer near the open window.

What a perfect day for hand stitching in the shade.

The shawl is in a vintage style and would be great for cold commutes. I designed it to get what I wanted. It's year-old Romney so is lovely and soft. More robust than Merino so won't pill. You should be able to hand it down to your grandkids. Comes with some spare yarn in case repairs are needed.
